What does your symbol mean?
The two-barred cross - the Cross of Lorraine - is the international symbol for tuberculosis. It was adopted at the international tuberculosis conference in Berlin in 1902. The symbol has existed since the tenth century and was carried by an eastern Christian sect. During the first crusade it was carried by the Duke of Lorraine, and later on it became a symbol for the crusade against the disease of TB.
